Urban Acupuncture Center’s vision is to make acupuncture more affordable and accessible by offering acupuncture in community settings on a sliding scale ranging within $15-40 a treatment. There is a first visit onetime payment of $10 for consultation time. You pay what you can afford. No proof of income is required.
We accept cash (sorry, no change available), checks, as well as Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Because we use a sliding scale, we cannot do insurance billing (that’s the insurance companies’ rule, and honestly, we would rather spend more time treating patients than filling out paperwork). If you have insurance or a flexible spending account that covers acupuncture, we’ll give you a receipt for your treatments and you can submit it to your insurance company.
Cancellation Policy
We ask for 24 hours notice in advance of an appointment if it is necessary to cancel or reschedule that appointment. You can do this by calling us or changing your appointment online.
All appointments that are rescheduled or cancelled with less than 24 hour advance notice and appointments missed without notice will be charged a $15 fee. If appointments have been purchased with a gift certificate or as part of a package, missed, cancelled or appointments rescheduled less than 24 hours ahead of time will be deducted from the number of remaining appointments.
